Network Engineer
Position Overview:
Our client, a leading Financial Technology service provider, is in search of a Network Engineer. The candidate should be adept in a dynamic, challenging, and high-uptime environment and possess strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Essential Functions:
Assist Senior Network Engineers in developing, monitoring, and implementing network security procedures to protect networking systems.
Manage daily operations of local and wide area network systems, conduct diagnostics, and schedule preventative maintenance.
Maintain network management tools.
Handle and manage ticketing system.
Analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot network issues.
Provide support for other network-related tasks as directed by management.
Manage shipping, inventory, and preparation of cabling and hardware for projects.
Required Experience:
5-7 years in IT Networking, including Operations, Implementations, or as a Junior Engineer.
Basic understanding of TCP/IP and OSI model.
3-5 years of basic command line expertise in Cisco NXOS or Catalyst.
5 years of experience with network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
Fundamental knowledge of different network device types and their uses.
3 years of IP address and subnetting knowledge.
1 year of basic Linux and Windows operational experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
CCNA Certification.
Additional relevant Networking certifications are desirable.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with occasional nights and weekends.
Travel
Travel to regional offices may be required, up to 10%.
