Job Overview:
Our esteemed banking client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Analyst to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging your analytical skills and technical expertise in Power BI, Databricks, and SQL to help the team deliver impactful insights and support data-driven decision-making processes. You will work closely with senior analysts and various departments within the organization to provide actionable insights and improve data visualizations and reporting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports for internal and external use.
- Use SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Utilize Databricks to process large datasets and perform advanced analytics and data transformation.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and data analysis to meet the needs of key business areas.
- Assist in identifying data trends, anomalies, and areas for process improvements.
- Support the team in data integration, analysis, and reporting processes to enhance business performance.
- Perform data validation and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality reporting.
- Assist in the automation and optimization of data workflows to improve efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest tools and technologies in data analysis and visualization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a data analysis or similar role, preferably within a financial services or banking environment.
- Proficiency with Power BI for creating interactive and user-friendly data visualizations.
- Strong experience with SQL, including writing complex queries and performing data manipulations.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks for data processing, analytics, and transformation.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data integration techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns and trends.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present technical data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis or automation tasks.
- Knowledge of financial services and banking industry data.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
