Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Data Engineer with expertise in Databricks, Power BI, and T-SQL to join a dynamic team in the banking sector. This role will involve designing and managing data pipelines, working with business teams to ensure seamless data integration, and supporting data-driven decision-making. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with cloud technologies, banking data, and business intelligence tools.
Key Responsibilities:

Data Engineering:
- Design and implement scalable ETL data pipelines using Databricks.
- Write and optimize T-SQL scripts for data extraction and manipulation in the cloud.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business requirements.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with banking industry standards.

Collaboration with Business Teams:
- Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Support decision-making by providing accurate and timely data.

New Production Environment Setup:
- Assist in deploying data pipelines and business intelligence tools to a new cloud-based production environment.
- Ensure smooth data migration, optimizing for scalability and cost-efficiency.

Cloud Solutions & Integration:
- Manage cloud resources (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data storage and analytics.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring clean, actionable data for business use.

Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with emerging trends in cloud data engineering and business intelligence.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Databricks: Proven experience in large-scale data engineering and ETL.
- Power BI: Strong skills in developing interactive dashboards and reports.
- T-SQL: Expertise in writing optimized SQL queries and stored procedures for large datasets.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP for data management and analytics.
- Banking Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with financial data and regulatory requirements.
- Business Acumen: Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Data Warehousing, Big Data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark).
- Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory).
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards in financial services.
