Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team in Naperville, IL. This position will focus on business process documentation, requirements gathering, and functional documentation for our management and customer portals. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that all documentation is clear, thorough, and accurate. Additionally, the role will involve project management responsibilities, including researching issues, managing Jira tasks, and tracking progress to ensure the successful delivery of documentation.
Key Responsibilities:

Business Process Documentation:
- Work to enhance and complete the existing business process documentation with the level of detail required to ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness.
- Engage with stakeholders to validate and update process documentation as needed, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Business Requirements Documentation:
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements from key stakeholders to ensure that all business needs are accurately captured and understood.
- Ensure business requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives and project goals.

Functional Requirements Documentation:
- Develop detailed functional requirements documentation for the Management Portal and Customer Portal, ensuring all functionality is clearly described.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure functional requirements are feasible and aligned with user needs.

Scrum/Project Management:
- Research and analyze project issues to determine how they should be addressed and how they impact functionality.
- Manage and track project tasks, user stories, and issues within Jira.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, developers, and other teams to ensure timely completion of documentation.
- Document and track project milestones, timelines, and deliverables.

Final Reviews and Signoff:
- Work with relevant stakeholders to complete reviews of all documentation, incorporating feedback and ensuring accuracy before final approval.
- Coordinate sign-off from key stakeholders once all documentation is finalized.

Ongoing Project Management (Part-Time Post-Documentation):
- After completing documentation, transition into a part-time project management role, assisting with the tracking of issues, and ensuring smooth project execution.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation.
- Experience creating detailed business process documentation and functional requirements documentation.
- Familiarity with Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with an attention to detail.
Ability to quickly understand complex systems and document functional requirements clearly.
Experience with documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Confluence, Visio).
Familiarity with project management concepts and tools.
