API Engineer
Job Description
We are a cross-functional team focused on Growth and Retention of our mobile buyers, building new experiences for buyers on our Etsy Apps for Android and iOS. Our team includes product and design partners, API engineers, App engineers that are all working on a large-scale company-priority project with high impact and visibility.
About The Role
This role as an API Engineer on the team will be responsible for designing and building mobile APIs, backend business logic and services, to enable our mobile features. Collaborating with cross-functional partners and cross-platform engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality code and features.
Requirements
Must-Haves:

Experience in API and backend development

Proficiency with common design patterns and best practices for software engineering
- Great team working, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience collaborating with cross-platform such as client-side engineers and cross-functional partners such as product managers and designers.
Nice-to-Haves:
-
Familiarity with HTTP APIs and best practices

Experience designing API contracts and collaborating with client engineers to build end-to-end solutions
- Experience working with AB testing and feature experimentation
This is a remote, work from home position. This role is to be filled outside the states of California and Colorado.
