Job Description

Responsible for all aspects of maintaining peak performance for CICS Services on mainframe systems. Monitor and optimize CICS performance, diagnose issues, and collaborate with customers and vendors for resolution. Participate in planning, testing, and documentation of CICS projects. Work within internal support teams to meet evolving service requirements. Strong technical skills, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Support CICS TS v3.2 and higher, including upgrades.
  • Manage CICSPlex SM environment, including upgrades.
  • Utilize MRO concepts for CICS tasks.
  • Monitor CICS systems using CICS Explorer.
  • Address complex CICS problems efficiently.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support.
  • Assist clients with various web application types.
  • Support CICS applications using DB2.
  • Occasionally handle after-hours and weekend support.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of CICS Systems Programmer experience.
  • Proficiency with CICS TS v3.2 or higher.
  • Automation skills within CICS Systems tasks.
  • Capacity and performance issue expertise.
  • Proficient in reading and debugging using mainframe core dumps.
  • Familiarity with TSO/ISPF/SDSF/JCL.
  • Knowledge of Disaster Recovery processes.
  • Familiarity with SMP/E.
  • Experience with CICS TS with DB2.
  • Ability to research technical issues and propose software solutions.

 

This is a remote, work from home position. This role is to be filled outside the state of Colorado.
