• Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
• Test point-to-point functionality of systems
• Review project Scope of Work (SOW) to ensure quality and completeness of installation
• Test integrated systems and perform troubleshooting for AMX/Crestron and DSP systems
• Field installation of control programs (AMX/Crestron) – upload and download capability
• Write code for DSP systems from various manufacturers such as Biamp and Symetrix
• Make minor programming changes under the direction of an engineer or programmer
• Fine tune audio video systems to ensure optimal performance
• Configure IP addressable devices to establish communication on a network
• Perform client training and final job documentation as needed
• Act as a customer liaison between the university and AV integrators.
• Create, track, and complete a project Punchlist
• Ability to travel to various campus sites required
• Setup and configure and troubleshoot Teams and Zoom UC systems from various manufacturers.
• Perform preventative maintenance visits to help maintain a stable client-based system
• Clean various AV equipment including but not limited to: camera lenses monitors and equipment fans
• Provide feedback and troubleshooting assistance to Symphony engineers to ensure connectivity of equipment and proper error reporting.
• Take responsibility to accurately complete job documentation as needed
• Field installation of control programs (AMX / Crestron/Firmware) – upload and download capability.
• Field service support of networked devices (Routers IP Protocols etc.)
• Perform service tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to: pulling cable installing connectors mounting projectors and hanging ceiling mounts
• Provide necessary training and support for colleagues.
• Adhere to and understand health and safety standards for all phases of the job
