Business Analyst - Mergers and Acquisitions
The Business Analyst is a highly-visible position focused on merging a new group into Freeman's PMO Analytics team (primary) and also supporting Business Analysis for certain change initiatives. This role will play an integral part of the Enablement Organization by contributing to cross-project analysis, resource capacity planning & analysis, enterprise governance support, project execution template creation & maintenance, enterprise reporting, and other project execution support. Additionally, the role will have allocation to some portion of business projects designed to drive Transformation objectives, Freeman Sales, Delivery, or other Operations-related initiatives, and introduce new features or enhancements. The role is intended to inspire new thinking and bring a fresh perspective to facilitate more efficient and effective processes.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Primary: EPMO Analytics & Governance Support:
- Serves as primary owner for Enterprise PMO analytics working with EPMO leader to create & enable resource capacity forecasting & planning, enterprise programs dashboard project reporting, and enterprise governance lifecycle facilitation.
- Maintains enterprise project execution framework / templates, administers time tracking tool & related process, and other EPMO collaboration content, such as across MS Teams sites.
- Interfaces with Project Managers, Business Owners, Executives and other leaders through the course of PMO reporting and other analytics prep and delivery.
- As Assigned: Business Projects:
- Conducts business requirement-gathering and documentation via meetings, individual discussions, and team-based collaboration from an enterprise view.
- Consults with business stakeholders, Development, Project Management, Administrators/other technical resources, and Analysts throughout the requirements documentation process and drives requirements to meet needs outlined in the project scope.
- Create detailed requirements documents including: process flows, use cases, user interface designs, scenarios and maintains outputs in project documentation system of record.
- Performs data analysis incorporating key performance indicators, customer demographic data, and other future state analysis to guide informed requirements development.
- Assist in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Participate in quality management reviews of the designs, prototypes and other requirements work products to ensure they fulfill the requirements.
- Ability to review project deliverables for completeness and quality, and compliance with established project standards.
- Provides ad-hoc analytical documentation and project support to the business.
- Provides documentation of current and future state processes.
Skill Sets:
- Strong problem-solving skills; able to synthesize multiple information inputs into clear, actionable business analysis, recommendations, and reporting.
- Able to communicate clearly and succinctly with multiple stakeholder organizational levels, from technical resources, front-line employees, User Communities, Business Unit Leads, and Executives (verbal and written).
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to create wireframe documents with information architecture.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Teams, SharePoint, Azure DevOps as well as other project management and time tracking tools.
Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst demonstrating the above capabilities for enterprise technology-related projects
- Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions
- Experience with Sales and Service Cloud
- Computer Information Systems, IT, or Business Bachelor’s or equivalent degree required
- Experience supporting Enterprise PMO analytics a plus
