User Experience (UX) Researcher

Description:

The User Experience (UX) Researcher is an integral part of the Digital Marketing team. In this role you will be responsible for planning and conducting client research at every stage of the product’ s lifecycle; from its conceptualization, stakeholder and client interviews, prototype validations, all the way to usability tests on the final product. The UX Researcher will work in the  Chicago office and lead research projects (both qualitative and quantitative) as part of the company' s  customer-centered design and development teams.

 

Qualifications/ Skills:
  • Experience crafting and leading UX research using both qualitative and quantitative research methods and analysis. Proficient in a variety of UX research methods and tools, including prototyping, usability testing (remote and in-person), journey mapping, card sorting, user interviews, usability testing, persona development - and know how/when to advocate for different methods.
  • Skilled at creating discussion guides and leading open-ended, contextual conversations to help generate answers to key questions as well as discover what the team didn’ t know and delivering a readout to the team and executives. Effectively articulate issues and concerns to team members and clients as well as work to strategize potential solutions.
  • Advocate for the user and relay to the team pain points and delights in their digital experience while also being an advocate for the stakeholder goals.
  • Help create defined customer journeys with measurable goals
  • Able to manage your own time whether working on a team in a collaborative environment or working independently.
  • Able to speak to the value of research and “ sell” stakeholders on UX research
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the financial services digital products space including products and user groups. (e.g.- Competitive Landscape Analysis).
  • Proactive looking for projects where UXR will provide value
  • Flexible to conduct interviews with global internal stakeholders and customers in Asia and Europe.

  • Will be working the company' s public facing website, the mobile app and 60 other customer-facing application

 

Experience/ Education:
  • Min of a BA/BS degree in Human Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Journalism, or related field.
  • 4 years work experience.
  • Experience with agile development a plus.
  • Experience in Financial Services industry preferred.
  • Experience with global brands is preferred
  • Experience working in a UX Research Group setting is preferred

 

Tools we use:
  • Our day-to-day projects include use of the following tools and systems: Jira, Confluence, inVision, Microsoft suite of products, Adobe AEM and Creative Suite. JustInMind, Axure, Sketch and other wireframing tools.
