Sr. Analyst, Front Office Technology (.NET Developer)


The Technology Solutions department is responsible for designing and delivering state of the

art technology solutions that are designed to create efficiency, mitigate risk, and grow revenue

for the Firm. Technology Solutions focuses on technical excellence through innovative

application designs, robust data integration and analytics, high availability infrastructure, and

gold level service for our key stakeholders. Critical functions within Technology Solutions

include Project Management, Vendor Management, Business Analysis, Data Strategy and

Stewardship, Application Development and 3rd Party Integration, Strategic Infrastructure, and

Operations. The Technology Solutions department collaborates closely with Firm leadership

and business unit heads to develop plans in line with business objectives.


Position Responsibilities

This is a developer role focusing on the design, development, and implementation web-based

.NET solutions in support of several applications (both in-house and vendor-based 3rd party

systems) on the Front Office Technology team. A broad technical background utilizing

multiple relevant tools in a structured and collaborative environment is essential for this

position. The successful candidate should have a blend of very strong technical and problem-

solving skills combined with an inquisitive nature and passion for technology to deliver

exceptional service and technology solutions to our business clients. The nature of the work

requires close alignment with the broader technology team and communication with users at

all levels therefore exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary.


Primary Responsibilities of the Role

− Play a key role in architecture and design for all in-house developed code within the Front

Office Technology team

− Create technical specificiations and design estimates based on functional requirements

− Consistently develop and deliver high-quality, low-defect features, enahancements, and

solutions on schedule

− Maintain and enhance development best practices as well as ensure best practices are

being met by 3rd parties working within our environment

− Follow a structured methodology for change control and release management

− Provide maintenance break/fix support for all Front Office Technology applications as


− Anticipate potential problems or opportunities for enhancements and recommend

solutions that are best suited for the overall environment and technology stack

− Demonstrate flexibility by adjusting priorities to respond to changing internal/external


− Ability to manage priorities and work across multiple simultaneous projects

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

− Bachelor’ s degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 5-7 years of related technical

experience, preferably in Financial Services

− Proven experience as a .NET web application developer using C# and ASP.NET MVC v4 or


− Proven REST API development experience and consumption using oData v4, and JSON

− Strong proficiency with SQL Server 2012 or higher using T-SQL and SSIS for data

manipulation, transformation, and integration

− Proven experience in planning and execution of unit tests, system tests, integration tests,

and data validation testing; knowledge of automation of each is preferred

− Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skillset

− Experience working within all phases of the SDLC in a team-oriented structured

development methodology

− Experience with the following considered a plus:

o Development experience with Dynamics CRM writing application specific C#

plugins, ASP.NET web interfaces, and data integrations via KingswaySoft and


o Hands-on experience with one or more BI platforms (PowerBI, Qlikview, QlikSense,

Tableau, etc.)

o Use of JavaScript and related libraries including jQuery, Kendo UI and AJAX

o Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular

o SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or similar reporting tool

o KingswaySoft integration software

o PowerShell scripting and related automation tasks

o Automated builds/continuous integration/deployment using Octopus Deploy, Team

City, and TFS

o Agile development methodologies
