Senior Marketing Manager

Job Description: Max Bill rate $120/hr

Our client is searching for a Senior Marketing Manager who temporarily supports their developer marketing team. You should be an experienced data-driven marketer and passionate about growing a developer community for a company that is ushering in a new technology enabled future. In this role, you’ ll create scalable campaigns to drive growth in adoption of tools and APIs that yield meaningful business outcomes for developers, increase the number of developers building with our client' s technology and data.

•        Building a global marketing strategy and plan for developers that is aligned with the overall marketing and communications objectives and other business group teams
•        Turn input provided from key stakeholders into marketing programs and integrated multi-channel campaigns (e.g. events, email, paid search, paid social, display, retargeting, content marketing, etc.)
•        Lead planning, implementation and optimization of developer acquisition and engagement campaigns
•        Establish programs that encourage peer-to-peer interaction within the developer community
•        Together with our content teams and agencies, define a content strategy that ensures highly credible and effective messaging for tools and APIs that are used by developers
•        Working in close collaboration with the internal teams, manage the development of a constant stream of content marketing and thought leadership programs and materials (e.g. whitepapers, webinars, etc.) and oversee all promotional planning and coordination in support of these programs
•        Create and maintain comprehensive metrics reports and advise on the effectiveness and future direction of our marketing campaigns and spending
•        Plan and manage vendors and marketing budgets required to execute against plans

Critical Competencies for Success 
•        12+ years of experience in marketing, communications and campaign management at a B2B technology company and/or B2B marketing agency for technology clients
•        Strong knowledge of end-to-end marketing and campaign processes (incl. paid media)
•        Ability to think strategically with tactical execution and hands-on mentality
•        Proven ability to earn the trust and respect of engineering and product teams as a marketer
•        Practical knowledge of developer tools, development paradigms and emerging disruptive technologies
•        Deep understanding of developer audience segments
•        Track record of success in building marketing programs and campaigns for technical audiences
•        Strong project and campaign management skills, accustomed to working to a budget and within strict timelines
•        Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex plans and concepts to cross-functional audiences
•        Experienced in multi-stakeholder management and comfortable with working in global, distributed organizations and fast paced, dynamic environments
•        Experienced managing agencies and budgets and expert at writing campaign briefings
