Senior MS Systems Engineer

The Technology Solutions department is responsible for designing and delivering state of the

art technology solutions that are designed to create efficiency, mitigate risk, and grow revenue

for the Firm. Technology Solutions focuses on technical excellence through innovative

application designs, robust data integration and analytics, high availability infrastructure, and

gold level service for our key stakeholders. Critical functions within Technology Solutions

include Project Management, Vendor Management, Business Analysis, Data Strategy and

Stewardship, Application Development and 3rd Party Integration, Strategic Infrastructure, and

Operations. The Technology Solutions department collaborates closely with Firm leadership

and business unit heads to develop plans in line with business objectives.


Position Responsibilities

The Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer will participate in the engineering, architecture and

transformation of our client' s  Microsoft Cloud and Productivity based solutions. This

person will be responsible for engineering, architecture and transformation activities in a

Microsoft hybrid-cloud environment. This is very hands-on technical position. This resource

must have strong technical knowledge around the O365 suite of applications (Azure Active

Directory Premium, Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, Intune, and

Skype for Business Online), Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, Microsoft

Exchange and Microsoft Azure. This person must have experience managing vendor

relationships and consultants.


Responsibilities include:

− Provide design and architectural documentation associated to our client' s standard

solutions around the Microsoft Ecosystem

− Identify and develop roadmaps, requirements and architectures

− Help to ensure a smooth transition from initial solution through architecture,

implementation and steady state operations

− Design, develop and implement changes to our Microsoft and associated solutions or


− Provide level 2 & 3 problem management and troubleshooting

− Work with business and IT teams to develop and execute test plans to validate server and

systems performance. Report on findings and makes recommendations for improvement

− Provide IT management reporting for performance and system utilization across all

managed systems

− Take ownership and manages business and IT projects that vary in size and scope

depending on requirements

− Responsible for providing documentation on processes and best practices to be followed

by the Service Desk team

− Collaborate and support Service Desk and Networking teams on cross team projects

− Meet project deadlines and collaborates with internal and external IT teams


Qualifications & Experience:

− Bachelor’ s degree

− PowerShell Scripting expertise

− Identity and Access Management: Azure Active Directory, Active Directory Federation

Services, Security Permissions & Authentication, Certificates, DNS

− Mail: Exchange Online, Exchange, Public Folders, Group Calendars, Delegates, LDAP

structures and migration techniques

− Collaboration: Skype for Business Online, SharePoint and OneDrive administration &

Implementation support

− Windows OS (e.g. Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2012R2/2016), Distribution systems

(e.g. SCCM), Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, Image creation

− Data Center: VMware, SAN (vSAN and NetApp)

− Business acumen to understand the impact IT technology has on business outcome and



− Experience with Microsoft products and services and can recommend logical

transformation Roadmaps
