  IT Support Technician
The Firm:  

Our client, an investment firm, specializing in highly analytical performance-driven strategies is seeking an IT Support Technician to join their team.  This position reports to the Manager of Technology Operations.  Our professionals use proprietary portfolio management tools based on the application of bond mathematics to help clients choose securities that will meet their investment portfolio’ s strategic objectives and maximize returns. Responsibilities:
  • As the primary contact for the Help Desk, ensure that excellent customer service is provided at all times
  • Ensure that Help Desk trouble tickets are being completed and follow up on open ticket items as needed using our Zen Desk ticketing system
  • Provide support to sales, trading, and back office staff as needed or directed for both hardware and software.  This includes Laptops, Desktops, Mobile phones, tablets, printers etc.
  • Research solutions for technology issues as needed
  • Perform the deployment of new laptops and workstations as well as upgrades
  • Participate in a highly innovative and team-oriented technology environment

Knowledge and abilities:
  • Bachelor’ s degree in CIS or related IT field
  • Microsoft Windows 7 experience
  • Microsoft Office 2007/2010 and Exchange 2010 Environment
  • Ability to quickly prioritize, minimize down time and complete tasks in a high pressure/time sensitive environment
  • Dell branded hardware (desktops and laptops), knowledge of Mac systems are a plus
  • Aptitude for expanding knowledge and working with proprietary financial software
  • BYOD support/troubleshooting for Mobile devices and tablets
  • Previous experience/internship in an office environment is a plus
