Director of IT


Our client is a successful investment firm focused principally on equity and equity-related, control and noncontrol investments in companies that the firm  believes fit its operational growth investment strategy. In business for over 20 years, with a proven success record.


The IT Director will be responsible for the firm’ s overall technology program. This includes, development of best practices policies, management of third-party vendors, managing all network, hardware, and software and responding to all employee issues and requests for all three office locations.


General Responsibilities:

• Manage third party IT service providers

  o Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, as applicable

  o Develop KPI metrics

o Oversee delivery of services and accept deliverables

  o Manage ticket submission, service, resolution with all third parties

  o Review terms of service/statements of work and any contractual arrangements

o Conduct annual diligence reviews of all third party providers

• Develop complete IT plan

o Integrated budget – maximize service and minimize redundancy, reporting on actual vs budget

o Assess, manage and mitigate risks associated with technology

o Develop long term technology plan

o Update and execute disaster recovery plans

o Review and assess redundancy plans

• Develop best practice policies o Document and maintain IT procedures and policies

o Work with in-house counsel to ensure regulatory responsibilities are met and detailed accurately

o Document and maintain escalation procedures, trouble-ticket procedures

o Develop and execute all employee onboarding and termination procedures

 • Manage all hardware, software and network inventories

o Order all equipment and software, service subscriptions

o Manage warranties

o Set up new equipment, as necessary

o Plan for updates and manage third party provider execution

o Review all inventory and software assignments and user access

• Daily IT Troubleshooting Coordination



• A minimum of 5-10 years strong IT experience in a corporate environment

• Minimum 2 years experience developing IT firm initiatives

 • Technology Degree or similar required

• Ability to anticipate issues and proactively address situations

• Fantastic follow up skills

• Solid human resource aptitude, including problem solving and analytical skills

• Advanced user of all MS Office applications and ability to set up all hardware, as requested

 • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Other Competencies
