Department Overview
The Technology Solutions department is responsible for designing and delivering state of the art technology solutions that are designed to create efficiency, mitigate risk, and grow revenue for the Firm. Technology Solutions focuses on technical excellence through innovative application designs, robust data integration and analytics, highly available and secure infrastructure, and gold level service for our key stakeholders. Critical functions within Technology Solutions include Project Management, Vendor Management, Business Analysis, Data Strategy and Stewardship, Application Development and third Party Integration, Strategic Infrastructure, Information Security, and Technology Operations. The Technology Solutions department collaborates closely with Firm leadership and business unit heads to develop plans in line with business objectives.
 

Position Responsibilities
In this role, the Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day support, design and
operations of data networks (wired and wireless), enterprise network
architecture, network technology evaluations, network security, protocol analysis,
configuration, research, complex trouble shooting and analysis. In addition, the Senior Network
Engineer takes an active role in capacity planning, network monitoring, and technology
mentoring.

Responsibilities include:
− Responsible for ensuring highly available, secure and performant enterprise networks
− Design, develop and implement network solutions which serve the business needs
− Provide highly skilled technical assistance in network planning, engineering, and
architecture
− Develop technical standards, identify and evaluate new products, and provide resolution
for network problems
− Identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting network performance
− Provide implementation and technology review for the Technology Solutions Team as it
relates to the enterprise network
− Interface with vendors to identify and purchase hardware and software
− Study vendor products to determine those which best meet company needs and assist in
presentation of information to management
− Provide guidance and direction for less experienced network engineers
− Evaluate new products/technologies to determine impact on existing system
configurations
− Evaluate and identify opportunities for network performance, security and functionality
improvements

Qualifications & Experience:
− Bachelor’ s degree and 10+ years of current Network Engineering experience required
− Strong knowledge of Routing Protocols (BGP, OSFP)
− Strong knowledge of Cisco Switching and Routing technology, including the use of the
Nexus OS (NX-OS) and IOS.
− Experience in field deployment and configuration of network devices, must be hands-on
− Experience with Cisco Wireless Technology (deployment and support)
− Experience with Citrix Netscaler management
− Experience with Firewall Technologies (Cisco ASA)
− Experience performing network traffic and protocol analysis using standard industry tools
(Wireshark, tcpdump)
− Experience with network management and monitoring tools (Cisco Prime, PRTG)
− Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) is desired
