HR Business Intelligence Consultant

Our healthcare client in the Northern Suburbs is looking for a HR Business Intelligence Consultant.   You will be responsible for developing the Human Capital Metrics Dashboard and HR management reporting  Utilizes data from the Workday HR system and other sources to provide analysis and insight to senior management team. Identifies trends and provides executive level summary and insights at regular intervals (monthly, quarterly, etc.).

Key responsibilities:
  • In partnership with HR leadership, defines the HR metrics and analyses that need to be performed and interpreted on a regular basis
  • Defines the corporate standards for HR data management and reporting formats
  • Develops dashboard to review metrics across the enterprise and drill down to review trends by different parameters such as area, location, job family, manager, etc.
  • Performs large scale data analyses using appropriate analytical tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
  • Proactively works with the HR Operations team to streamline reports and improve the quality of information provided to stakeholders

Required Qualifications:
  • 5 years of direct experience with analyzing large, complex HR data sets and interacting with relational databases
  • Demonstrated experience preparing human capital research and analysis to summarize HR data, strategies, and recommendations for a senior executive audience
  • Ability to develop hypothesis to answer business questions, collect data from various sources to prove or disprove hypothesis and tell a story through the creative use of data analytics
  • Solid consultative, critical thinking and analytical skills with ability to operate strategically and build effective partnerships across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Ability to answer and anticipate critical business questions and opportunities in order to deliver critical insights to the business in ways that make significant impacts to the business
  • Strong understanding of key HR business processes and concepts
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Experience working with Tableau and/or other data visualization software strongly preferred
  • Experience using statistical modeling for hypothesis testing or predictive analytics
  • Familiarity with core data structures in Workday (highly desired) or demonstrated experience working with other HR systems (Ultipro, Peoplesoft, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • PowerPoint skills strongly desired
  • BA/BS required
